hey people, i am new to photography but have taken a great interest in it. i am looking to buy a first camera so if anyone had any suggestions as to what i should buy. Keeping in mind that i am not made of money so i don't have hundreds and hundreds to spare.

any suggestions would be of great help and much appreciated!

It all depends on a few things, how much did you want to spend? What Type of subject are you interested in taking, ie portraits, wildlife etc?
 
Well my budget will expand to about £500 if that is a good amount to spend on a first camera? And I will be taking photographs of mostly wildlife but I'm not really sure of a specific topic..

you wouldn't go far wrong to look at the (trusted area) of 2nd hand market - maybe someone like mpb photographic - get a body for around £300 and then a couple of lenses for £200. Simples.

If you stick with Canon or Nikon, you won't go far wrong and will find it easier/have more choice to upgrade in the future.
