Edit My Images
Yes
I recently purchased a refurbished laptop running Windows 10, I have all my photos on my XP PC, I always found being able to have my photos in different named folders on " my pictures" very easy and useful, however when I put them all on a laptop running Vista, all the photos were together, I realise I cant have them in the same named folders, but is there a way on 10 of being able to at least have them separated ? secondly, how long should the battery last on a full charge? I get a maximum of two hours even in battery save mode, is it time for a new battery, or does that seem about right?
many thanks

Not that I use Windows 10 'Pictures' to store my pictures.................you can create sub folders in the Pictures Folder, does that answer your question.

PS all my images are on a separate data drive and not 'Pictures' on the C drive ;)

Can you clarify what you copied to what, I am a bit confused as to where vista comes into this.
You should be able to copy the folders from XP to Win 10 using a USB stick .
Did you copy the "my pictures folder" or the contents?
As far as battery life depends on the age and capacity of the battery , I only get about 4 hours out of my new HP laptop so 2 hrs out of an old battery might be what to expect.

I've used Windows since the beginning and always use 'Pictures' and its folders for all images direct from the camera/card reader or USB sticks/drives etc. through any processing and then back to the appropriate 'Pictures' folders.
Windows 'Photos' is currently trying to get in the way...but it doesn't affect 'Pictures'.
I run an SSD for all the programmes and a normal hard drive with Pics and Docs storage etc....On laptops just the SSD.
PS. Also backup our PCs every month to USB external hard drives.

I always create my own folder structure for storing pictures.

2 hours for a battery that's a couple of years old is about right, depending on many things of course. You don't mention age, screen size, processor or any of the other factors that affect battery life. If you want to get best running time then turn off WiFi, dim the screen and only run 1 program at a time.

Thanks everyone, those replies have answered my questions,
