im fairly new to using raw, i use a canon eos 400d, with eos utility. i recently shot in the studio with my camera on raw, mode set to black and white.

i batched processed them, all still being in b&w, when i view the thumbnails in my folder in my mac of the raw files they are all in colour.

is there anyway of making them stay in colour and getting them converted to jpeg? (does that make sense?)

reason i ask as on the day of the shoot for a friend of a friend who is a make up artist trainee, she asked for all b&w, but after seeing them has asked if any in colour.

just thinking as i can see them in colour so want to know if i can give her any of them?

please help!

Haven't used DPP for ages, so may be a bit rusty. The images are probably in full colour in their RAW mode. It's the Picture Style that's converting them to B&W.

Look for the picture style setting and change that to Standard ( I think) that should revert them back.

As you are on a Mac open the RAW files in iPhoto. If it's one of the latest versions it should read your RAW files, but probably won't apply picture styles

If you are shooting in RAW then the difference between B&W and colour is fairly arbitrary. The embedded preview JPG image will be one or the other (as selected), and the raw converter will pick up the default selection but the RAW recorded sensor data is just the same either way.

In DPP, just select whatever picture style you want in the Tool palette, (on the picture style drop-down on the RAW tab).

Go to File>Export.
