Hi,
I have just invested in a new set of Pocketwizards, 1 Mini TT1 and 2 Flex TT5s. The instructions that came with them are useless, and there's not a lot else available online. Upon plugging the flashgun into the Flex, I noticed it is always in FP mode regardless of what shutter speed I use, or whether FP mode is activated in camera. Is this normal? If not, how do I change this? I have updated the firmware to the latest version (2.100) and have checked the utility for any obvious settings that may be causing it. Strangely, the flash also appears to be test firing automatically every 30 seconds or so. All of the above is the same with both of the FlexTT5's so is unlikely to be a fault with the units. I have also tried it on my dad's camera and get the same results.
This problem appears to be causing the TTL functionality to be all but lost and the images to be massively overexposed. All of the flash modes are in FP with the exception of RPT and cannot be changed. This occurs regardless of whether the Mini is Turned on or connected to the camera. So it seems to be a problem with the Flex and not anything to do with camera settings. It also makes no difference whether I use an SB-800 or SB-900.
If anybody has had this problem I would like to know how you resolved it or if you have the same settings but get the results that you expect. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
