Hi everyone!

I am venturing into the world of DSLR now and am now looking to get myself some editing software. For general editing etc..

Do you have any suggestions as there seems to be hundreds of different programs!

I use a Macbook and have heard of Aperture, but not sure if something else would be more suitable.

Thanks in advance! :)

Tweaking mainly! Adding effects, making pictures pop a little more. Nothing too hectic really.

I am open with prices, just don't want to pay for something I won't use. I have been looking at Elements 10, good starting point?

Will be taking pictures of people and landscapes mainly.

How did you get on with LR then?

I use it primarily for basic editing for most pictures I will print, plus it is an excelllent file cataloging system providing you always remember to keyword your images as you load them or just after. I would hate to be without it now.

You can download a trial version which is the full version and lasts for 30 days but I would strongly advise if you are going to do this to watch as many tutorials as you can first so you become familiar with it to make the most of your 30 day trial

I use mainly elements 9 on my mac at the minute, have downloaded aperture but still learning only had it a few days.
