Hi Guys,

I really want to use my Bowens 500 Gemini Flash's outdoors.

Any idea of a reasonable pack that will do the job, but not cost me my relationship ;)

Thanks

Dale Photographic is where i got my travelpak £473 for the small one it is the most logical answer as the gemini have the port on the back.

2nd option
Tronix explorer XT SE
£397
But comes in a couple Kilos heavier & over 3x the size plus not sure if you can change the battery.

I'm sure there are a couple but they are the only 2 that I know of but you still again better off saving the pennies for the travelpak.

As said really, there are power packs out there and generally about £400. But as 'Kiteninja' says, the Gemini has a port on the back for their own Travelpak which supplies low voltage to the unit rather than the pure sine-wave mains output of the generic packs and they are not so heavy... is that worth the extra £50-100? it is to me. Although I still opt to use Profoto out and about and my Bowens kit for indoor studio work.

Maybe worth getting another light for my outdoor work??
What other reliable brands are powerful enough for shooting in sun and have cheaper battery packs?

Or am i better off getting a travel-pak for the bowens?

Would these work with Lencarta Eliterpro heads 600 or 300

Innovatronix launching new ones shortly, look to be a good upgrade to the explorer, got me waiting to see anyway.
