Starting A levels in September which are the best to set me up for a sport photography career. Advice would be hugely helpful !!

Depends what school you go to. I don't think A-Levels like Maths, English, the Sciences will give you any edge over someone coming out of school at gcse level with straight C's.

If you go to a school that lets you do non academic subjects (not meant in a nasty way before someone flames me) like media studies and photography then I guess they would be a good start.

Best way to get into sport photography is to get out there and start experiencing it first hand. Turn up at local games etc.

Hi. I'd suggest you look at doing the A levels that will get you good results in subjects you like - and do English. Then you can work on your sport photography at the same time and may be get into journalism. Don't put all your eggs in one basket and decide that sports photography is 'all' you want to do. Its a highly competitive field, so have some sort of 'Plan B' to fall back on too :)

^ This. Being able to write decent captions quickly is an important part of the job. If you can fit business studies in, then do it.

Ok thanks everyone for the help it's much appreciated and will hopefully make my decisions easier

Only about 10% of any photography business is spent taking photos.
The other 90% is sheer hard work and boring stuff like meeting with clients, bookwork such as accounting, taxation, marketing & advertising, seeking new clients, networking etc etc. I could go on and on.
Forget about doing subjects that will help you take better photos.
Do subjects that will teach you HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS, after all that is what you will be doing.
