Hi folks,


I'm looking a bit of advice on what to look for in a Speedlight. I have a Nikon D60 and just starting off really so I don't want to break the bank but get a decent enough one to enhance. I shoot mostly candids, makro and some landscapes.

Techno speak kinda scares me so be kind! lol :lol:
 
What is your budget?
 
Get the highest up the range you can afford, you'll grow into it's functions as your flash photography progresses.

If you can't stretch to the high end Nikon unit (SB900?? ....I shoot canon) I can heartily recommend the Nissin Di 866, it comes in Canon and Nikon fit and it's a powerful and well featured flash for a lot less money than the Manufacturers own models.

Excellent advice, I brought a sb800 several years back and thought thats more flash than I will ever need and the only one. I now have that and sb900 and an r1 macro kit.
