Pulled out my book on Photoshop CS2 (Classroom in a Book) ISBN # 978-0321321848 and stuck in the CD from the book into CD Drive only to find it was cracked and does not read anymore :gag:

Does some one has this CD which I can borrow maybe or get a copy of it [Mods: Hope I am not infringing copyrights here  :gag:]?

Many thanks in advance.

Hey chouglez have you tried contacting the publishers - I am sure they'd send you a replacement if you asked.

PM me your address I'll send you a copy.

and no you arn't infringing copyright providing you have a Pucka copy. You are allowed to keep backups of CD's just "in case". This would be one of those "cases"

That's why I love hanging it out here.

Many many thanks OG for helping me out here.

Tried calling the publisher but they let me down saying that because I bought the product from Amazon adobe press cannot do anything about it. Ironically Amazon were the ones who passed me Adobe's number to talk to them for a replacement CD. :shake:

I will PM U my address OG. Many thanks once again.

The US have a right of "fair use" which allows backups to be made of CD's, DVD's for personal use (provided that you don't use any method to circumvent any copy protection applied that is). However, we in the UK don't have such provision, so technically even if you own a CD and create a copy you breach UK Copyright law, even in the days of copying Vinal to Cassette you were breaking Copyright.

However, I don't think the risk of prosecution is high enough to worry about ;) In fact I don't think there has ever been a case in the UK against someone copying a CD they "owned".

Its in the post

Many thanks OG. Very kind of you.:clap:

Now we will leave the delivery * RM's mercy. :(
