Hi,
I currently have a Sony Vaio VGN-NR32L (which I have had for nearly 2 years with no probs, running Vista) and was just using it online with no problems and also trying to update/unlock my iphone at the same time. itunes froze so I restarted the comnputer and since then my sound not longer works (just says no audio device installed), my wireless internet no longer works (even down to the green light on the switch not working if I diagnose and repair it pops up with "there might be a problem with networ adaptors" "the network adapter marvell yukon 88e0839 is expecting driver or hardware related issues and says the same for LAN Express ASIEEE 802.11g PCI adapter" also if I have the battery plugged in it is telling me that the battery may not be support and to put into hibernate mode and remove and re install battery (works fine with battery remove and mains poower only. And also none of the usb connections seem to be working/.

Please could someone advise me on what is the best thing to do with this or at least point me in the right direction of what to do to resolve this issue?

Or is this the perfect chance for me to convince the Mrs that its time to get a new laptop (or even a MAC?):D

Many Thanks in advance

Dave

Looks like your drivers have gone...!

Do you have the device drivers CD which comes with the laptop. If yes install all of them agian. If it's not automatically doing then, insert your cd in the drive, go to My computer in the start icon, right click, properties> enter

Now you could see the device manager icon inthe left side and please click it

There will be lot of yellow symbols will be there against each of the devices which are not working currently for you, especially the ones which you've mentioned in your post.

Right click one by one, click Update driver, choose the location as your cd drive and it automatically does the driver updates. Complete all and then restart the system. It should work.

Before you totally give up, try a sstem restore back to before it was working, mine has done this in the past and that has sorted it.
Also try turning the wireless lan switch of and on whilst it's turned off
