Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone can help me out. I am looking for a few photographer to take pictures at my wedding on the 27th August 2010 in Horwich Bolton.

I am not looking for your formal pictures.... you know his family and her family, i am looking for some natural shots of people enjoying the day and the details of what has gone into the wedding, ie dress, flowers, centrepieces, venue....

There will be lots of photograph oppertunity as i am having

Day.....
2 x singers (different genres)
Old orleans jazz band
magician

Evening MASCARADE BALL
40 chinese lanturns
belly Dancer


I am looking keeps costs down as you can tell the wedding is getting rather out of hand. If there is anyone out there that would like some experiance and could help me out please let me know. It would be good if you had a little experiance, or have attended a course....

Hello Danielle and welcome:)

You may get some offers but be prepared for the others replies too.

You say you have 2 singers a jazz band magician and belly dancer but don't wish to pay for a professional photographer.

Bear in mind that when the day is over, all you will have left are the memories, many of which could be enhanced by a great photographic record of your day.

it was the one thing i insisted on at my wedding

but if want i will try to book that day off, i would be happy to help you out

I know what you mean about the memories of the day, but if truth be know, me and my other half have been together 12 years and have only had about 6 picis taken together through, births, christenings, new houses the lot.... We have not put a massive amount of importance on photos of us posing, I would just like to give people the oppertunity of shooting the day and i am sure that there will be one or two out the bunch that i will like. I am not looking at putting the picics on the wall and looking at myself everyday for the next 30 years (ha ha). Just a couplke printed off will do for me.... So budget, i dont have one, apart from i'll pay for refreshements and expenses.
On looking at booking a professional photographer the cost came to more that the total of the entertainment (i am getting some good deals!!!)

oh yes, i forgot about the chocolate fountain and the reception is at the spread eagle in clitheroe....

We are available, however the price will be in the region of a very reasonable £850 to shoot the wedding + whatever you want to spend on an album

My wife is a wedding planner, and hires florists, hairdressers, MUA's, venues, jazz bands, belly dancers, singers and magicians all day long (we know the rates). This is why know our fee to cover your wedding all day is less than the cost of any of the above pro-rata. That's a good deal considering we additionally will also be spending all of the following week editing your photographs, and the day before preparing the equipment

I am making a very important point here. Apart from the videographer, once the wedding is over, all the other professionals, just go and do another gig. For the photographer and videographer, only part of the work has actually been done - you will be dealing with your photographer for months and sometimes years after your wedding, and the work done after a wedding is very intense and full on. We estimate that if you spend a whole day shooting, there is 1 weeks worth of solid work associated with it, and that's before you choose an album

Steve do you not think its an odd request? considering what she is already paying out for?
 
Im not convinced, someone who has 2 posts on the forum, has every singing and dancing thing you can think of, but hasnt budgeted for a photographer?!? Looks like someones eyes are bigger than there pockets and its dawned that they havent the money to cover the full wedding if they have everything they want. I want an Aston Martin in the drive, but its not going to happen.

Try getting rid of a pointless belly dancer and magician and you may have a nice amount to at least cover a budget photographer.

I do think its a bit cheeky to pretty much join a forum just to find someone to spend a whole day taking pictures and all you get in return is refreshments and cost of getting there.

She wont be on here again once the weddings been and gone. Call me sceptical, but it hasnt got me in trouble yet.
