Help please my lens and camera won't communicate suddenly

Suddenly 2 weeks ago my Canon 450d and Tamron 70 - 300 lens are saying error in communication when I try to take photos.................

Check the electrical contacts on the lens/camera are clean and not damaged.
They can be easily damaged when changing lenses if one is a little too heavy handed!
Is the problem just with the one lens? ....if so then the box is ok and the problem lies with the lens, by contrast if the problem is the same with all your lenses then it would seem that the box is at fault!

I had this with one of my lenses. The camera worked fine with other lenses but not my 24-105, which I had th send to get repaired.

Another thing to try is to clean the contacts on the lens / body

If you use the eraser on the end of a pencil, this should work if it is they are dirty...
