I've been approached by a potential client who wants some HGV lorry shots as samples.

The only hauliers close to me have yard that are too small for a good variety of shots.

Does anyone know of any outfits in or around Manchester that have large fleets, and a large yard?

Thanks Rich

TDG or mebbe somebody like A&J Transport?

Eddie Stobarts got a depot in Middleton, also one in Warrington.

Have you thought about a trip to Lymm Truckstop on a Saturday afternoon?

I'd go with Lymm Truck stop or Warringtons Eddie Stobart Depot

If you do go to Lymm truckstop be sure to check with security it's ok, there's millions of pounds worth of goods in those trucks, someone taking pictures of them might ruffle a few feathers, some truck drivers are a bit:cuckoo:

all that being on their own for hours on end :D

Thanks all. That's given me a few leads. I'll get on the phone tomorrow.

Cheers rich

I can't remember the name of the Yard, but there is one a few doors from work on Ashurst Drive in Stockport Near Morrisons. Is can be photographed from the road as well.

got to be something on trafford park. Either that or find a local dealer. Every company that I know who runs HGV's has a photo of their truck from the dealer. Offer to let them have a copy FOC in exchange for a few photos, and ou will have a new best friend.

Just a thought, are James Irlam and Sons still going, pretty big outfit I recall.

Dear boy!!!! ;)

Yeah, I realised when I wrote it that I had worded it badly. The logic as that many of the guys there will be out of hours and down for the weekend, bored out their brains, they would be happy to talk and show off their truck.

Dont disturb Eddies lads though, they will be doing their ironing.
