I have a Plaubel Makina 67 that I purchased last autumn, and have loved using. The winding level felt like it might be skipping a few gears, but with two actuations it spaced the film perfectly, so I didn't make too much of it.
Fast forward to two weeks ago, and I brought it into a CLA at Aperture, because I didn't know the maintenance history.
Kriton said that the winding mechanism is partially stripped, which I understand is a fairly common problem with Plaubels. The problem is he doesn't have any spare parts, nor a way to get them. (He said the whole winding mechanism has to be replaced.)
Any ideas??
(It should also be said that I brought it to Sendean Cameras, who wanted £1,000 just for a CLA [!!!!] ).
