Help Panasonic G2 saved in RAW

Guys

This may seem a stupid thing to do but part way through my son's pre-Afghan tour party (The drink had be flowing a bit) I managed to convert my camera from saving in JPEG to saving in RAW now I can't open them on my laptop. I've visited Panasonic's site and downloaded the software but it still won't open them. I've now changed it to open with "Windows Picture Viewer" which won't open them either and I can't change it back again (poxy Microsoft).

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated do I need to buy a bit of editing software or am I just being thick?:bang:

Your G2 should have come with a disc with Silkypix 3 SE on it, install that and you'll be able to edit the raw files and export jpegs

grab the microsoft camera codec pack, that will allow to to view the raw pics with windows picture viewer

and if you cannot find the disk for silkypix just download a trial version of lightroom
