stupid question of the month time. Just bought an sb800 off a member here, but cant seem to get it working. It came with the extra battery add on, does that need to have a battery in if connected for the sb800 to work? Batteries are fully charged, I have no idea!

Yes if the extra battery box is on the side it must have a battery in it. The cover for the extra battery box is the same as the standard cover so you could take the cover off the box and fit it directly and go back to 4 batteries.
