Help needed with using multiple flashguns

Hi

I'm after a bit of advice on using multiple flashguns. I am using a canon 580EX and a 550EX. I have got the 580 setup with a remote trigger as the master unit and the 550 set to slave and triggered via the sensor. The problem i am facing is once the 580 fires, the 550 fires about 1/2 a second later. I have got both guns set the same and cant figure out why this is happening, any ideas??

There was a post about this recently, search? from memory you must have them both set to slave?

I think the post that admirable refers to is this one.

I had a play as a result of that thread so see my responses in posts 14 and 15.

Basically, have a play around with the flashes in manual mode rather than ETTL and with the trigger attached to the flash via the hotshoe rather than the pc-sync (If that's what you're doing).

Hi Ksten, Spot on! thank you. I was still able to use the trigger connected via the pc-sync, but what i needed to do was place both flash guns into manual mode. Once i had done this they fired at the same time, no delay!

now i just have to wait until the red dots go and i can see again to test them out proerly!
