Hi guys,
I just treated myself to an LG IPS235 and connected it up only to find I can't increase the monitor resolution to the optimum 1920 x 1280. I also don't seem to be able to adjust the aspect ratio so I either have the option of everything being stretched in widescreen or only using 2/3 of the screen in "natural" mode.
Due to lack of other connections in my Dell Dimension 3100C (on Windows 7) I can only connect using the D-SUB / VGA connection and LG support told me this is why I can't have higher resolution.
Is there a way to change the aspect ratio so it looks normal until I get around to upgrading to a new PC with an HDMI or DVI-D connection in the meantime as currently I'm feeling like I've wasted £150 on this monitor.
All help appreciated as I'm not very technical when it comes to PC's etc....
