help needed with 7d

Just got a 7d and have transferred some images into bridge. However bridge won't display the RAW (cr2) file or will ps4. or will it open it into camera raw from bridge (that option is not even there when you right click a thumbnail) :bang:. all bridge shows is the blue ps thumbnail.

Is there a setting in camera to change the output file to make it readable in bridge??

or

do I now need a bridge update and cs4 update to read the output files??

All RAW files were viewable in bridge when taken on a 400d.

Your cameraRAW must not support the 7D RAW format. Just update it and you'll be good to go. CS5 did from V1 so it must be somewhere in CS4 the update came in.
 
As above you need to update Camera Raw to the 5.6 version which is available in CS4
 
You wont be any worse off imho by using Canon`s DPP software for converting Raw files.
