Help needed please

Morning all.

It's my anniversary this weekend. As a small present to Mrs NickTB, I have written her a poem. I want to process the poem over a picture from our wedding a bit like this example (Just the centre bit)

Anyone have any ideas on how I should go about it?

I can only say using photoshop as this is what I use

Create layer with poem
Create/import layer with picture of your wedding and then reduce the opacity of the weddig picture until the poem shows through clearly

Photo layer unlocked, add a new layer and fill with you colour of choice & reduce opacity so that the photo bleeds through, add a text layer for your poem.

Now, is there a free trial of photoshpp out there? I have the full programme on my (broken) laptop, and now I have bought a mac?

I will go for the full version, but I need the photo this weekend..

LOL Double post. I have the Mac at the moment with what came on it. Lightroom 2 and Photoshop are on teh defunct laptop (Which is PC anyway)

I think Gimp will do this for you and is completely free... Do some searches on layering and text addition and it should fall into place. http://www.gimp.org/
