So, playing with my new FujiFilm IS-1 and im having problems with the colour. I can do all sorts of other bits so far, but i'm having problems with the colour. Things like blacks come out as purples or violets, chocolatey browns (the sofa in my living room) looks like a teracotta or peach colour and it's really starting to wind me up because I've had the camera two days now and I still, for all the playing and instruction manual reading ive been doing, can't get the colours to look right!

Could somebody please help? :'(

hello and welcome

cant help with your problem, not sure where is best to post but would think post your question in the talk equipment, more than likley to get help in there

Hello. How do your colours look when you take a shot outdoors in natural light?
Agree with RKC though. Post your questions in talk equipment along with an example if you can & the resident experts will sort it for you I am sure. Might just be a white balance thing with the indoor lights.

Welcome to the forums. As others have said, get some pictures posted up and I'm sure we'll be able to offer up some help.

Cookie,

I think you've posted this query in the wrong sub-forum! I don't mean to be rude, but you will get more feedback in the relevant one; as I will presume this to be a camera set-up issue, have a go at posting this here.

For now, allow me to welcome you (Hi  and :welcome: to TP :p ) yet again to TP .. I am sure you will find this place very resourceful; and I sure hope you resolve this colour anomaly.
