Help me with

Help i am trying to create this image of my eye with a space invader, i did do it but i messed about with my colour range and now it wont work. When it did work the space invader had a black background with the space invader cut out but since i changed it i keep getting the space invader black. I am using photoshop cs5 if that makes any difference.

I put the space invader over the top of the eye on a new layer then I selected the white with the magic wand and deleted it, so it just left the black squares, I then double clicked the layer to get the blend options up, I choose stroke with a thickness of 8. then I changed the opacity of the layer to zero

Do you mean my second edit if so

I had a quick go at a more subtle one.
space invader was on a layer above the eye then I used a mask and a brush on 30% opacity to blend away the invader to show some of the colour of the eye.

Scott, i am going for the space invader to be the eye and then to get rid ofthe rest of the eye.
