Hi Guys
I'm trying to find a bag suitable for a lighter more compact setup, for walks and the like.
I am thinking of backpack style.
And something that will hold
D7000 with battery grip and attached lens - 24-70 or similar
70-200 f2.8
cloth, couple filters, wallet, phone keys.
I want something as compact as possible whilst able to hold this kit.
Budget is about £65

I've been looking but keep coming up against issues with enough space for body with battery grip,
any thoughts?

Have a look on cambag.com. You can see bags with same or similar kit to your.

What about the Lowepro Flipside 300? That'll take a gripped body, attached 70-200 and at least one more lens plus other bits and pieces. Amazon have it at about £74, but I'm sure that would come down with some shopping around.

thank you for your suggestions,
I am still struggling, the flipside 300 is a bit big really,
I was hoping to get something a bit more compact.

I would perhaps consider compromising and getting something that wouldn't accommodate the 70-200, but I don't really want to be removing my battery grip,
any further ideas would be appreciated,

Looking for bags is always a nightmare.....but I did find a pretty good solutions for a walkaround bag. I know its not a backpack, and the 70-200 maybe a tight fit. But this combo will take a D700 and 24-70, hood fitted...so it may take the 70-200 hood reversed, plus the d7000 is smaller. Its very easy to wonder around with this bag and it doesn't hurt my shoulder like my thinktank retro does. Also it doesn't really look like a camera bag.

Firstly I bought one of these.... lowepro passport.

Took out the padded liner and bought one of these....

Fit the insert and you have a great little walkaround bag. Plus you have the original insert if you wanted to just take a body and small prime. The camera and lens needs to be layed down with the divers removed.

Im sure i'm forgetting something but you get the idea. It holds a lot!

I had the same dilemma as you but settled for this one, http://www.7dayshop.com/7dayshop-pr...1cHBsaWVzL2dhZGdldC1iYWdzLWNhbWVyYS1jYXNlcw== have a look at the demo video for a better idea of it's functionality. I actually used it as my hand luggage bag last week and it suited my needs perfectly. The canvass is not as robust feeling as some of the more popular makes but I have no regrets on the purchase, it's very flexible for carrying be it back, shoulder or hand held.
