Aye up people,

I am looking for a good lens with exceptional zoom and good for taking picture at football/rugby etc... games. What do you surgerst i purchase?
 
What's your camera? :)
 
Sorry i should of said that, must have been first post jitters or some some thing. Anyway i have a Canon 400d and my spend limit is not huge so don't scare me with anything over 600 pound sterlin.
 
I love the Canon 70-300 IS. Unless you can spend £1000 on the (large and heavy) 100-400L, it's reasonably light, compact and easy to hand-hold - especially with the IS. I've managed to get some decent shots with it even wide open at 300mm. :)
 
I'd agree actually. I sold my first one to buy an L 70-200mm - it was a nice lens too, but I missed the 70-300IS so much so flogged it again and got another.

Like any lens, good and bad examples exist, but if you get a good one, they are just blinding.

you got a link to site that sells them cheap, also is that the one that retails for about 350?
 
Kerso has it for £345 on ebay so if you email or PM him you may get it cheaper outside ebay.
