help me find a compact for my parents

After numerous attempts to take anything worthwhileon their camera my parents are looking for a point and shoot that will take decent photos.The camera at present is so bad its unbelievable with shutter lag so long i could brew a cuppa in.

A sum of approx £150 is available. Any ideas??

Was wondering about a sony dsc-h3, my wifes ixus 860 is pretty good but out of the price range.
 
The Ixus 70 sells for around the £140 mark on the high street.

I have an Ixus 60 myself, it is easy for all the family to use, my 8 year old son knows more about it than me!

Search my posts & you will see some of our photos we took with it.
 
I feel they are too, are the models in this price range as good as the competition though, anyone use others eg coolpix etc?
 
I spent ages looking in this price range for my girlfriend last summer and we ended upwith an ixus 70 I just couldn't find anything close, now she takes better pictures than I do :(

I cant recommend the canon ixus range enough.....i have a ixus 75 and i love it!
 
Another vote for Canon Ixus. I'm still taking shots with my trusty (and old) Ixus 40!
 
I have a Fuji F11 and an Olympus SP320 (I think). Both great cameras, and although they are now old models, I didn't pay more than about 140 for either of them. If I'm going snapping rather than photographing, I'll still take the Fuji for ease of use and great results.
