I’m so sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I am in a bit of a dilemma & was hoping that someone here would be able to help me. I have an important project which I need to submit ASAP & I have one photo which needs some editing. I tried to get some results using Arcsoft camera suite & neat image, which are the only software I am remotely familiar with, but was not happy with it the result. I can only play around with mid-tones (best results using this), contrast & brightness etc. I tried my hand at GIMP, but it’s a bit too technical for me.
Basically, I recently took a couple of photos of the Northern Lights in Iceland, but my camera is not so amazing & even after 1-minute of shutter speed it didn’t turn out so great. All photos are in the album below. The first two are the edits & the third & fourth are originals. You can download the full size images by clicking “Download.”
I basically need the green northern lights to be prominent, preferably without that orange tinge in the background (evident in my edits). I also wanted less grain in the sky & the mountains to be a bit more in focus with a more snowy color. Possibly something like these:

I’m so sorry for coming here with such demands, but I really am in a tight spot & had no other choice. If it is impossible to meet with my criteria, then could you just have a play around with the image & make it look great in whatever way you think. I would really appreciate some help with this.
