My lovely wife has just said she'd buy me a monitor for Xmas, but I have no clue what to look for really.
Its going to be used mainly for photography editing with PS, web browsing and the odd game of COD and Just Cause 2.

I want a minimum of 23" and DVI connection. I think IPS is the way to go, but I may be wrong???

I was looking at the Apple displays, to compliment my 24" iMac, but I think they may be a bit pricey. The budget is aorund £250.

Please give me some suggestions and personal reccomendations!

NEC are good according to my graphic designer friends. As are Eizo, Quato and Lacie, but they're not exactly cheap either. I know a few people who swear by Dells

The Apple ones are nice and look the part next to an iMac but they do seem a bit pricey yeah. That said if I was wanting one for my 27" iMac I'd go for the Apple personally, part of the appeal in an iMac is aesthetics and I just couldn't spoil that :D

Squeeze more out of her and get a U2410, they are superb! ;) Otherwise you may have trouble getting IPS and 23"+ for £250.

Thanks for the replies, the budget may stretch a bit, but we agreed last Xmas we werent going to spend over £150 on eachother this year. Well, thats out the window.

The Dells look nice, but a lot of the refurbs still have stuck pixels or tints, whch seems to defy the point of being refurbished.

I may drop an inch, but Ideally I'd love every inch I can get. :naughty:
