Well my 1st ever macbook pro 15" AG screen should be here on monday:cool::cool:

About to order a datacolor Spyder 4 elite for calibration and elements 10 from wexphotographic.com as this is the cheapest (£198) ive found them.

Still cant decide on aperture (never used it) or lightroom. Huff Huff.

HHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP

Aperture for me - tried LR demo download for a while, but couldn't get on with it. Have PSE9 in the background for specific tasks as well though. ;)

Jon can i ask what you use aperture for mainly, is it good as a catalog program also?

I'm using LR4 (still on trial at mo) as I've used LR before but am thinking about Aperture. Might pop into the local store for one of the training sessions to learn more about it first.

Went to Currys tonight to get PSE10 on 'reserve and collect' only to be told none in store, and they couldn't be sure there were any in any of the other local stores... wasted journey!

Me too, just didn't like LR, then there is the cost issue too.

I use Aperture for 99.99% of my photo work, can remember when I last used PSE for photo work and yes it is a good image cataloguer

Have tried aperture, but only after learning first learning how to use Lightroom.
There seemed little point in learning a second program, that at the time was considered inferior in many write ups i read. From what i now know aperture 3 is very good, but i haven't seen anything to tempt me from Lightroom 4.

I am using LR4 with Elements 9. Seems like a really nice duo of apps to use, they link together perfectly for editing. 90% of my editing is in LR4 and 10% in PSE9 which is why I got PSE9 and not PS CS6 as it would have been a waste of money for me.

I have used both. But aperture seems more in tune with a pro workflow and how a photographer thinks. I can a wedding fully edited.in an afternoon
