I've currently got a 13" macbook running OSX 10.5 and a Windows machine running Vista 64, I'm trying to format the drive i used to use as my time machine backup drive to use as backup drive for my pictures across both machines.
I have used disk utility to format the drive to MS-DOS (fat) and in the partition tab changed the Partition Map Scheme to Master Boot record, as recommended to work with a windows machine. However when i connect the drive to my Windows machine it just beeps at me.
What am I doing wrong, and what do i need to do to make it work correctly?
I have attached a couple of screen shots of my disk utility if thats of any use, to anyone that wants to try to help me remedy my problem.
Thanks
Kev
