Help finding mental asylum

Does anyone know where the abandoned mental asylum is near preston I looking for it but cant seem to find it and I cant register on that 28 days later so I thought id ask you guys.

I dont know, I dont drive so I need to be able to get to it. All I know people use it for paintball. Someone I used to know took photos of it and said it was near Preston.

Ive found it, just need someone to go with now cos Im hopless by myself.
 
I do lol I have a love hate thing with em I hated being in the princess marina, (for training) but it also fascinates me.

The 28DL site is great. Wish I had the balls to get into some of these places.
 
I think the correct terminology would be 'mental hospital' or 'lunatic asylum'. The term 'mental asylum' doesn't make much sense, but newspapers love it for some reason.

I visited Whittingham Asylum a number of times, last of which was two years ago. Although things have gone downhill considerably in terms of vandalism and damage, I'm unaware of the site being used for paintball.

Either way, it's one of the larger surviving former asylums, and has many interesting features. However, I should make it clear that entering a building like that, whilst not illegal, does involve taking risks to a certain degree. If you're seriously considering going there and want some advice, send me a PM.
 
actually the correct term for modern ones is mental health hospital, it used to be lunitic asylum. and people with learning disabilities, the real medical scientific term for them was "idiot"

Ian I thought it would be illegal, can you explain why this isn't so? ( BTW I'm not doubting you, just interested in why )
