Its a Kodak six-20 art deco apparently but thats as far as i got from google and other searches.
Anyone got any info they can add? i need to find out how it works and a bit more history. Also if it has a value, for my insurance.

could be a six-16, but to be sure you need to post an actual photo of the one you have, there are a mirriad of kodak 620 folders, 620 being the type of film it uses, the six-16 uses 620 film too so we need to see the camera.

It's hard to tell from the pic but it looks in pretty good condition, even so I doubt it has any real value, Kodak used to churn those things out at a rate of knots. Your best bet for a valuation would be to buy a copy of McBroom's Bluebook I think.

There are gazillions of versions of this type of camera as Joxby says. I don't believe this is the art deco version actually. I could be wrong, but I seem to think the art deco version had a large rectangular plate on the front with a pattern of lines - hence the 'art deco' name.

Yep.... art deco version...

I had a sad mate who used to collect dozens of these and would go on for hours about the variations. :D

I doubt it's worth a lot tbh. Check the bellows for pin holes. If it's in reasonable order it will probably take pretty good pics. Working it will be pretty basic by todays standards, but pretty straightforward.. It looks like you have both a T' and a 'B' setting and about 3 shutter speeds. You'll need to cock the shutter manually no doubt from a lever on the front. The focusing scale may possibly only have a choice of about 3 or 4 distance settings - something you need to check out as you can't tell from the pic.

It's well worth putting a film through it, if only for the experience of using it.

mine is the one displayed, camera says six-20 on the lens bracket.

You can down load or just look at PDF manuals here, I've looked at a few but I don't see one with that hexagonal lens board, if yours looks identical to the posted photo, there may not be a manual, although the six-16 looks very similar.
Its not a six-20 Brownie obviously.
