Help finding home office furniture

I need good home office furnature for a good price.Any suggestions for stores or brands of good home office furniture would be a big help.Thanks.
 
Local auction houses can be a good source.
 
Facebook selling pages sometimes have good things
Like desks and chairs if thats what your after
 
Good looking? Good and sturdy? Good and functional?

Might be worth looking at a built-in suite or having something made to measure.
 
Traditional or modern? Budget?
 
Have a look at your local second hand shops. Companies/government departments often ditch their office furniture when the offices are refurbished and it turns up on the second hand market for reasonable prices.

I've also been looking. I don't think there is such a thing as good quality from retailers anymore.

I'm now looking around antique shops for a desk that isn't made out of chipboard and plywood.

Not too sure about that.

THIS Looks rather nice, and not hugely expensive either.

I would be cautious with them. I wasn't overstruck with the quality and condition of some of their items when buying last year and there are lots of complaints online.

I have several solid pieces from them and have never had an issue.
I've always found that folk are much quicker to go online to complain than they are to leave praise.

Of course. But sometimes the level of complaints is such that you do have to take notice. The showroom I went to had several items of furniture that had stuck drawers and cracks where it appeared the wood had not been treated. Maybe that was a one off.
