Help design me a 18x12" poster

Yeah Matt that was the idea, however you seem to have an ussue with it. When i look through the forum many many others have recieved help with cards, posters, images etc as well as loads of advice and thats one of the reasons i asked on here amd one reason why i like this forum so much. Im not great with CS4 and designing.I asked for help and your one who isnt willing to do so then thats fine but no point crapping the thread.

I will remove this hread if i can now as i believe the basis of asking for asistance has been wasted.
 
I don't have any issue at all - You're free to do as you wish - Just seems a bit double standards on here where "we" as a a collective expect design work for free, but all then expect people to pay for our photography :)

I apologise for my tone, however, as I've had a bad day - my point is valid though :)
 
No probs. I understand that some see it differently from myself. Yeah im looking for a helping hand or advice to help me progress and thought that with many others getting help then it wouldnt be an issue. Im far enough away from 99% of photographers on here not to interfere with their business and may be wrongly thought someone would help.

i can see where mattyh is coming from if you want to earn money from this then you should in all right pay to get it done but if you dont have a great deal i can undestand that too , you have a great oppotunity dont spoil it with a nasty poster get a godo one made
 
im with matty on this with the charging as well, its the same as photography. so many people on here complain at people undercutting them with photography, but i see a lot of threads with people asking for design work done for free/cheap!

if you could post more details in regards to this then you might get more interest - three images at the top and bottom with details in the middle is very vague, you literally just want the images placing along the top and bottom with some text plonked in between, or would you want some proper thought and design going in to it? would there be a logo to put on it and if so do you need it making etc...?
 
Mark, if you are after some help with designing a simple poster you could try Brilliant Prints, I use them to print one off posters and they will do simple design work at no extra cost if you provide them with the images and logos etc.

I appreciate that others might have some problems with you asking for assistance regarding this, however I would suggest that if you are not willing to assist or provide useful information maybe it would be better if you did not post at all. I am relatively new to this forum but I was under the impression it was about assisting others in our community rather than bringing them down.

If every pro or good amateur who gave advice and help on this forum in their specialist areas, charged for doing so, then it would die pretty quick, as would all internet forums.
