Hi,
:help:

Could anyone please tell me how you put the copyright logo and your name on your photo's?? I can't find any decent info on this on the web. Do you need special software to do this? Is there a basic, simple way?
Any help is much appreciated :)

Probably the simplest way is to use Photshop.

You can make a simple action to add the copyright message to a layer, then position it in the appropriate place.

You can get the © symbol by holding down the Alt key and then typing 0169

hi Stephen,do you have photoshop preferably cs2 or 3 mate?

check out my website and you will see the watermark style i use complete with copyright logo.

hmmm, not sure have you browsed for links on this matter?

Hi APs,
Great site btw! How did you put your logo on your pics? I've tried searching the net, but nothing's very helpful. Is it possible to add text to pics using Windows Paint or something like that?

You can use Paint shop to add a logo (An image of it) ...simply cut and paste (or similar, like import or whatever) you logo onto the photo, resize etc.

The tricky bit is making a logo with a clear background etc... I'm not sure if paint shop has the facilities for doing this...

You could simply type the logo out onto the photo too, using the text tool, cut and paste a 'copyright' from word if you have too... I think paint will do all that ok.

HTHs

I've had a go with Paint as recommended above. It works! It's a right pain in the butt to do though, it would take me ages to put the text on all my pictures LOL. Might checkout that Bytescout... thanks whiteflyer/everyone.

I have just started to use Bytescout Watermarking very simple to use and great for doing a large batch of images in one easy operation.

WHITEFLYER
I've just bought the bytescout software. It's exactly what I wanted and was looking for - and cheap! Thankyou so much for your help/recommendation. You're on the top of my Christmas Card List! :):):)

My first 'copyrighted' image using Bytescout :)

Thats fine, the only problem with putting it in a corner it would be easy to crop it out with a little trimming.Could you shift it over the subject?Pleased you are now getting somewhere mate.

I think putting it over the photo just makes the picture to look crap to be honest.

Stephen67 - The way you have done it is how i do it  but i use Photoshop

Photoshop is alot of money to some people though, i know it was for me.

It all depends wether the watermark is tranparent or not?I agree with you it can look crap if its solid as it is a distraction but being transparent does help.

At the end of the day if someone really wants to steal your image they will. If they put the time in the copyright can be dropped/cloned out.

Yeah agreed but an attempt to clone out a transparent watermark would generally look bad.But you are right images can be stolen easily enough so its just a safeguard
