Hi,

just bought a bulk roll of FP4 and on the back it says 'FILM CINE FP4 35MM" - I am a bit confused as to what camera is it for(motion or film camera?). Also would any be able to tell if it will have the sprockets on the sides. Thanks.

Yes it will...
Just (in total darkeness) cut it to the required length and load it into a 35mm canister...
Takes practice, but quite do-able... you can make a 'leader-template' using another roll of shop-bought film and cut that later on in daylight once the film canister is sealed.

Now you know the origins of the film we use; for cine use the film is run through the camera in a vertical direction, with the image being recorded horizintally between teh sprocket holes. In a still camera, the opposite is true; the film is put through the camera horizontally and the sprocket holes are at the top and bottom of the image. By doing it like that, still cameras are able to record a slightly larger image on the film than would be the case for a movie camera.
