Help! Accidentally set 2K exposure compensation on Pentax ME

I've just spotted that I've got my Pentax ME set at 2X exposure compensation. I'm 20 shots into a 36 shot roll of Kodak Elitechrome Extracolor 100 ISO. The manual (I've still got it, amazing!) says this will double the amount of light coming to the film. I think this means it's the equivaent of turning the ISO down to 50?

Since the last film was at 400 ISO, I'm guessing that this got changed when I was adjusting the ISO down to 100, ie the whole film so far. With a film like that, am I better setting it back to 1X to try to get something out of the rest of the film, or leaving it as it is and requesting some kind of push/pull processing? (Sorry, I haven't got my head round this terminology yet!)

Chris. Leave it and tell your developer that you've over exposed it by 1 stop. They will adjust processing accordingly.

First make sure that you keep it the same for the rest of the roll! It might be worth changing the exposure compensation back to normal and adjusting the ISO dial to 50 just to be sure.

Where you get it processed ask them to pull it one stop (as its effectively been exposed like its at ISO 50), some labs like Peak Imaging charge for this but I know its free at 'The Darkroom' where my E-6 goes. Just send a note with the order and they'll do it for you. There'll be a small loss in saturation and contrast but the grain will be a bit finer.

Thanks guys! Will take the advice, and we'll see how it goes. I've never used this film before, thought I'd try it as I used to like Ektachrome...
