Hi all. I'm looking to start doing some portraits in a makeshift studio at home. I just need to sort out some good lighting.

I was looking at getting a couple of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110412483438

And probably a bag too so I could take the kit around with me to other places.

What do people reckon / advice? I don't really want to spend any more than £200 for a kit with 2 flashes and it needs to be remotely triggered.

Thanks!

It looks like good value for money, but my guess is that it won't last very long and the colour temperature and power output won't be consistent - you can't expect good quality at that price.
And it's obvious from the description and the photo of it being used with a shoot through umbrella sans reflector, that the seller knows nothing about photography, so customer support may not be wonderful

Hi & welcome aboard :D

I can't really comment on the ebay head in the link.

I know that lencarta do a good starter kit. Well worth checking out

I can't vouch for their selling ability or knowledge of photography but i can vouch for their honesty & would say i'm sure they will give any after sales support they can. I say this as a friend of the seller.
