Ok this is a bit of a weird one to explain but hopefully it's an easy fix.

I've just bought a pair of Canon 6D's and I've noticed an issue that, if I wasn't going to be using them side by side, probably wouldn't be an issue at all.

When I'm in manual and rotate the top wheel/dial clockwise to adjust the shutter speed, on one body it increases the shutter speed (as it should) and on the other body it decreases the shutter speed (which just feels wrong). Obviously the same thing happens visa versa if I rotate anti-clockwise. This will be a real mind-bender when using them in tandem.

I've tried resetting the body that I think has the issue back to factory settings (that's the body where when I rotate the dial clockwise the shutter speed decreases) but no joy.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I am fairly sure on my 5D3 there is setting in the menu to control the rotation 'setting'.

Were they new? If so I am surprised they were set to 'opposites'.

Thanks, I'll have a look for that option now.

One was new the other not. It's the used one with the issue so I'd imagine it was down to the previous owners personal preference........weirdo :)

Check out menu item Custom Function III

First item control direction.

Hope that helps :)

I hate a mystery and glad that what I found was of help :)
