Anyone heard of this problem before?

My wheel on the 400D (to control settings etc) has stopped working, It still moved and feels the same (slight jerks on each notch you turn it) but it wont register on the camera as a movement.
So I cannot change any settings on the camera, review pictures by scrolling on the wheel etc

I bought if off amazon under a year ago, How would I go about getting this repaired? Approch Amazon saying its faulty? Or Canon Directly?

This shouldn't cost me money should it? Because its under the 1 year...?

Sorry for all the question's but I'm quite miffed off about this :( and have had no time to reserch the issue because I'm due in work in 30minutes

Phone Canon to arrange to send it back or take it to one of thier repair centres, ( advertised on canon's website ) so long as you have the reciept and it's under a year old they will sort it out.

For free?

you might need to cover postage but normally for free if under warranty.

Well Its now working, It seemed to be my grip that was causing the issue, So I took the battery out, blew very hard down the casing to remove the dust, put it all back toghether and its all sorted - how strange
