Help - 400D 'dead'

Mine did the same thing last week a couple of times I got a compressed air can and blew it into the battery compartment and the memory compartment from about 10 inches away dont know if it was a coincidence or not but it then worked ok may be worth a try just in case its a bit of dirt
they came back and said £180 + VAT for repair - new circuit board needed I think
Have more details in email at home account, will update later (if I remember!)
I'll sell you a mint condition 400D (my backup body) + 1 official battery for £220 if you're interested. All boxed with manuals and cables etc.

Just had my 400d fixed by Colchester cameras, with a new main board due to bent/broken CF pins.
£122.50 + Vat + 7 delivery. Worked out about £150, so I'm surprised they quoted you so much more.

Not sure why it's so much Byker, I guess it's like garages, they all charge differently and I don't know *exactly* what was wrong with it, as I said I 'thought' it was the circuit board that needed replacing. OH dealt with it though, so I'll let him know about the difference in price and if needs be, talk to them about it
