I have a background with my usual hobbies so i know how things work, but with photography i'm a complete n00b with a digital SLR - i've actually owned it for about a year now and not really used it anywhere near as much as i should. So far i've taken far better pics with my mobile phone! I want to take more pics now and get some sort of value for money out of my camera, but to do that i know i'm going to need a bit of help, so i decided to join up here after it was mentioned on AVForums - i hope i made the right choice! I'm sure i have :)

Ok, i've posted one here. It;s just something i've been wondering ever since i bought my current camera and started taking notice of photography. I'd like to know what people think :)
