Helloooo from a newbie!

ok, so im one of those annoying people who has a DSLR and rarely uses it off auto, and i figured what better place to learn NOT to do that than a photography forum!!

so, my name is Chelsea, im 22 and i have a 2 and a half year old daughter called Cassidy

i live in Cambridgeshire with my partner Mic

and my lurcher called Vedder (guess the inspiration)

and i guess i'd better include a photo of me

anyway, as you can see, the photos arent great, and I would put money on it that technically theyre all wrong hah! so, i want to learn more about the camera i love so much, i have the Canon 550D, its a fairly new purchase, i did have the sony A350, i have the kit lens and a 50mm 1.8 so its a pretty basic package. i have played around with ISO and shutter speed etc and i kind of get it, but not properly, and i want to learn!

sorry for all the photos but, hey, this is a photography forum so what better way to introduce myself!

Welcome to the forum and get yourself into the forums that interest you.
At the end of the night when wanting to relax,visit "out of focus" it,s our little coffee lounge where we have a chat.........

One small tip,when taking pics of Veder ,try to get low down in line with it or even looking up at it.

I would say experiment and more importantly have fun but don't be afraid to try something new I always learn by doing if you like to meet others check out the meeting place and look out for local meets as most of us are friendly types

But make your you post pictures for critique as this is the way to learn, there is a massive level of talent on TP and most are happy to share it don't be put off when people pick faults as soon you will do this for yourself and trying to avoid those faults/errors/mistakes will help you improve
