Hello, starting to dip my toe int this big world of photography lol. i did have a Canon powershot sx530 bridge camera, it was pretty decent until it decided to die on me. So ive had a look about the forum and found different pieces of info and tried to put it all together but there's so much info and opinions lol. So I came up with this as my next step Nikon D5300 with this lens sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 dg macro that comes in around the £350 from mpb both in the like new range any other setups in the same price bracket please leave your suggestions or roast me if what ive put up is a load of nonsense lol

You are right, a photographic 'journey' will be littered with info & opinions but what you should not find here at TP is the "my kit is better than your kit......why on earth did you buy that...."
Why, well we (all?) have had our preferences and reasons for changing and/or upgrading as appropriate but and it's a big but most decisions are based on what genre of photography you like or wish to do?
Therefore if you said what your photographic subjects interest you that will likely 'inform' any replies & responses
