Hi everyone, I'm new here and wanted to introduce myself quickly.

I'm Victoria, a knitwear designer in Surrey.

Photography used to be a hobby for me years ago, and now it's one part of running my own business. I take photos either of my knitting-in-progress, or me modelling the finished item. They get used to promote the knitting pattern on social media, within the pattern file itself, and sometimes get dropped into promotional or instructional videos.

I'm still very uncomfortable on the "wrong" side of the camera, and have only just started using any kind of equipment.

Hoping to steal some fabulous tips, ideas, and inspiration from you all!

Hi Victoria, welcome to the forum.

I don't suppose you'll get much help with the knitting side of things (especially from me), but the people on here will be able to answer all your photography questions.

I have a little project ATM to photograph some knitted (maybe crocheted?) Harry Potter characters for my sister - I really must get them out of my roundtoit cupboard . . .
