Hi - I joined here a long time ago but never really got around to posting anything. I'm an Olympus user and am active on the UK e-Group forum (https://www.e-group.uk.net/forum/), which is a great place for specialised Olympus/OM talk. Although I'm mainly Oly, I recently picked up a Panasonic S5 plus the 20-60 and am enjoying that a lot. It's the closest FF camera in terms of features and usability to the Olympus gear I have.

I'm mostly into landscape, but general travel and cityscape is in there too. You can see some of my stuff over on Flickr - http://www.flickr.com/paul_kaye

Finally - a photo to introduce myself. Taken yesterday with the EM1.3 and the PL 8-18:

Thanks Gramps! So, you have two EM5.3 bodies. I had a 5.3 earlier this year for a while. Lots to like, but the lack of C modes and the poor battery life eventually frustrated me! I was hoping the OM5 would remedy these things, but it seems not. It looks pretty much like the EM5.3 but with some of the EM1.3 features like HHHR added. I don't really think it's that much of an upgrade.

Welcome, and a nice way to get restarted here. I shoot on Olympus some of the time (EM-1ii, EM10iii) but also Nikons and a lot of film cameras. I'm gear-rich, talent-poor, but it's all enjoyable!

Thanks. I've just taken a look at your Flickr, and there's some good stuff there, so don't sell yourself down! In any case, photography has many avenues to follow - gear appreciation is absolutely fine in my view!

C Modes not really an issue for me now as I basically just do 'street' - battery life is okay for me and I always have a spare but haven't needed it yet :)

I thought the 'handle' was familiar...................welcome to TP, lots of us Olympus users hereabouts :)

Welcome back, nice image, let's see some more (y)
