I've been reading the Film & Conventional thread for a while since I decided to get back into film photography after a gap of over 15 years.
Over the last couple of months I've been resurrecting my Olympus OM gear, new light seals and changed 2 pentaprisms where the silvering had been affected by the breakdown of the old foam into a sticky goo, and currently I am trying to remove the dreaded fungus from some lenses - oh the joy!
I have also shot a few roles of time expired (20 years) Jessops film that was lying around from the old days with, er, interesting results to get back into the swing of focusing and setting exposure manually after years of a Canon PowerShot A700 and, latterly, an Olympus E-PL7 - hard work after the luxury of auto everything! I've also managed to acquire a few more bits and pieces off Ebay.
There seems to be a shortage of the cheaper film at the moment but I did manage to get some Kodak ColorPlus off Ebay and have shot 1 roll which, along with the time expired film, I've managed to home develop reasonably successfully using the Rollei Digibase kit.
In short, I'm having fun!
