Hey everyone,

Brand new to photography and brand new to this forum. It's a hobby I've always wanted to start but always thought too expensive to begin.

But now, entering the second third of my life, I felt it may be time to give it a go.

I've always wondered how people got into photography in the first place? Was it through school or family or..?

Currently using a Samsung note 3, though am working on getting a better camera. Admittedly, I do like being able to switch between music and camera so seamlessly :) :)

Welcome to the forum.

It's not always about the camera you use, but is always about the image you create. Better tools just help make it easier to create the image - sometimes :)
I started aged about 5 or 6 with a box brownie my nan gave me. 12 B&W shots meant you had to be very careful with what you took as my parents didn't have money for processing so it came out of my pocket money (with help).

I've posted this before but it's the first (or on the first reel) of images I took, a shot of my family. I still have all the images I took with that camera in an old photo album
