I thought I'd better introduce myself.

I've had a dSLR for a week or so now :) Olympus 510 and twin lens kit.

I bought it because I wanted something to play with, that would let me really control the pictures I took and it was a cheap entry into the dslr world.

I've got specific things that I want to learn to do and this forum looks useful and friendly.

When I've got enough control of the camera to take the shots I want to then I intend to start posting some, until then I'm limiting myself to commenting on other peoples.

Don't worry - I will post, think of me as building up a +ve balance on the critique thing ;)
