Hi Paul and welcome to TP - If you link your images from Flickr or Photobucket it will automatically size them for you I think.

As Sara said, most people host their photos externally and then embed them in their thread here, but if you're still having problems take a look in the Forum Help and Support section. There are a couple of threads about posting photos in there :)
