Hi Everyone :wave:

Im Gemma and im from Manchester. I havent got myself a camera yet Im looking to get a Canon EOS 1100D as a starter DSLR.
Ive never even held a SLR camera so looking to get lots of practice and hopefully improve my photography skills!
 
Hi Gemma and welcome to TP.

If you havent held a DSLR yet, the best advice I can give you is get yourself along to Calumet Manchester, or John Lewis in the Trafford Centre and handle a few that are within your budget. Get the feel of them and also where the various controls are. See what you feel most comfortable with and only then make a decision of what to buy

I have a budget of £250.00, for that budget is the EOS 1100D a good beginner camera to get? From the reviews it seems a good starter camera although should I be looking at any others?

I dont have any experience of the 1100D, but I would go and take a look at one and make sure you give it a good try out in your hands first
